Frenchtown Rural Fire District Emergency Medical Services:

Delivering care from the best, for the best.

Frenchtown Rural Fire District responds to all emergencies with trained volunteers, staff, and residents out of its 7 strategically located stations. Frenchtown Fire responds to a variety of emergencies including but not limited too: Structure Fires, Medical Aid, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Rope Rescues, Water Rescues, Wildland Fires, Hazardous Materials Releases and Confined Space Rescues.

Responses are related to the geography and life styles of a rural community in western Montana. Interstate 90 runs for 30 miles thru the heart of the district as well as Montana Rail Link and the Clark Fork River.

Frenchtown Rural Fire District is licensed in the State of Montana as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service and provides transporting services in the Frenchtown Valley. As part of a Tier system in Missoula County, Frenchtown Fire responds to medical aid calls with Basic Life Support (BLS) personnel initially.

The Fire District is mostly bordered by National Forest, State, and private timber company lands. Frenchtown Fire is very active in the wildland fire suppression efforts in and out of the district. The Fire District has and is very involved in structure protection in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI).
